ASE-Lights respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the app collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the ASE-Lights mobile application.
ASE-Lights is designed to control compatible WLED lighting devices on your local network. The app does not collect personal information for advertising or tracking purposes.
The app may detect and store information about WLED-compatible devices on your local network, including device name, local IP address, mDNS/host name, MAC address or device identifier where available, LED configuration information, preset and schedule information, and device status such as brightness, power state, effect, colour, and connection status.
This information is used only to allow the app to find, connect to, and control your lighting devices.
The app may store settings locally on your device, such as saved devices, favourite presets, lighting schedules, user interface preferences, and the last selected device.
If cloud sync or account-based features are enabled, ASE-Lights may store limited device and preset information in a cloud database so that your lighting preferences can be synced across devices.
ASE-Lights does not use this information for advertising, profiling, or resale.
Information processed by ASE-Lights is used to discover WLED-compatible devices on your local network, connect to and control lighting devices, save and apply presets, manage schedules and timers, improve reliability and user experience, sync presets or settings if cloud sync is enabled, and troubleshoot technical issues when support is requested.
ASE-Lights does not sell, rent, or trade user data.
Information may only be shared with service providers used to operate optional cloud sync or app infrastructure, when required by law, when necessary to protect the security or functionality of the app, or with your consent.
ASE-Lights requires access to your local network to discover and communicate with WLED-compatible devices. The app communicates with devices using local network requests, such as HTTP requests to WLED device endpoints. This communication typically remains within your local Wi-Fi network unless you configure remote access or cloud-based features separately.
ASE-Lights may use third-party services to support app functionality, such as cloud database or sync services, app store distribution platforms, crash reporting, or diagnostics tools if enabled.
These services may process limited technical information according to their own privacy policies.
ASE-Lights does not use personal data for third-party advertising. If analytics or crash reporting tools are added in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated to describe what information is collected and how it is used.
ASE-Lights uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information stored by the app. Local app data is stored on your device. If optional cloud sync is used, data may be stored securely using third-party infrastructure providers.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Locally stored information remains on your device unless you delete the app, clear app data, or remove saved devices/settings within the app. Cloud-synced data, if applicable, is retained as long as necessary to provide the sync feature or until deletion is requested.
ASE-Lights is not intended to collect personal information from children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 or the applicable age of digital consent in your region.
You may delete saved devices from the app, disable cloud sync if available, delete the app to remove locally stored app data, or contact us to request deletion of cloud-synced data if applicable.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be posted at the same URL with a revised effective date.
